A very innovative and brilliant addition to certain P2P networks is the sharing of a file as soon as it has begun downloading.

If you begin a download on the eDonkey network, for example, don't be surprised if you have people uploading it from you before you even get 5% downloaded.

Of course, you always only share as much of the file as you have already downloaded.
